Happy Birthday my Littles,

I cannot believe one year ago you were born. It has been a quick year!
I am sorry I have not kept up with your monthly memos. Hopefully you won't get the "second child" treatment. But it is true that it is harder to keep up when you have two.
I was told when I was pregnant with Noah that you don't truly feel like a parent until you have two. I didn't understand what that person meant because seriously, one child is a large amount of responsibility.
But now I see, that they weren't discrediting having only one child but truly saying two makes it a lot more challenging. I have noticed my patience and abilities being challenged even more. It takes a lot of deep breaths and some very important phone calls some days.. .
But the reward is payed back in Double. You and your brother warm and fill my heart more than I could ever imagine. Every morning, I can't wait to get both of you out of bed for hugs and kisses.
You had a pretty rough start with the bilirubin blanket and the acid reflux. But we have weened you from that and you are quite an outgoing baby.

You and brother have your moments, and I feel there are many more to come. But some of my favorite times are just watching you two play. I love that you are starting to really interact.

I have also turned into the kind of mom that I didn't think I would... speaking to my dressing you and Noah alike. It will stop soon, but for now the cuteness of you two wearing coordinated outfits is cute! I even brought Daddy into it.
I would like to talk about your mobility. I had no idea that one child could be in so many directions at once. You are crawling and cruising at lightning speed. I literally have lost 5 lbs in the last 2 months keeping up with you.

You are saying a lot of words (Mama, Dada, Car, Thank you, Hi, What's that?, dog, and you can sign please)
You have gotten two bottom teeth and you are working on one on the top. You are very cranky about this. But even the crankiness is cute because if distracted, the crying stops immediately.
But your little teeth really pack a punch when you eat....
You eat with a vengeance... In fact you eat twice the amount as your brother.
Not only do you go 100% at eating, but with everything you do. You can go from being extremely happy to angry in a split second. I feel like this is a glimpse into things to come.

Thank you for making me a better mother and a more patient and understanding mom, you have really honed my skills on handling high pressure situations.
The sunshine you bring to the family is inexplicable. I feel like the past year has gone way too fast, I can't catch up! And that is how your movement has been :)......
So, Happy Birthday, little Henry. . . thank you for your aggressive, uninhibited, joyous love.
Love, Mommy.
PS. This is how every one of your shirts look like, it doesn't matter if I put a bib on you or not. You are making sure if we have another baby that is a boy (in a loooong time) that you will not pass on ANY clothes.

Henry's 3 Month Letter
Dear Henry,
You are a quarter of a year! I can't believe how time flies when we are so busy!
The acid reflux medicine has helped tremendously with your mood. You are still kind of a fussy baby but I think it is because you really like a schedule.
Love, Mommy

2 Month Memo for Henry
Dear Henry,
2 months! These 2 months have not been the easiest on you or Mommy and Daddy. We have had an adventurous month. Your brother and you are definitely 2 peas in a pod. He loves coming up to you and hugging you.
Even though you are mostly grumpy lately there is one source of happiness. Your baths. You love a bath, you get your legs a kicking! Dad just lets you sit there and enjoy the warm water.
Unfortunately, you are mostly grumpy when out of the bath. You have had some pretty severe cradle cap and baby acne and we put you on some zantac for your acid reflux. The zantac tastes pretty gross so you make some pretty funny faces when we give it to you.
You had your first Halloween. Daddy and Noah went out trick or treating and you stayed home with me to answer the door. Quite a few kids came to the door and you were pretty mellow that night. It was nice to have a little alone time with you. Auntie Sarah had to have surgery and have her gallbladder taken out. We accompanied Nanny to Boise to help . You were so good in the car! I thought you might have been grumpy on the trip but you were an angel!
Boise did wonders on your skin.Your face cleared up and you were starting to be a lot happier when you were there. And Auntie Sarah and you had a good time together.
2 months my little H. I love ya and don't want you to grow too fast.
Love, Mommy
