11

Noah,
11 months does not seem possible. I think that I try to glaze over the fact that you are another month. Sometimes even after you have turned another month older I still tell people you are younger, only for a few days. I know, weird.
I am calling this month the month of mobility. All the sudden you are speedy Gonzales with crawling and walking along the furniture and in your walker. You are getting so fast! You love to spend the day in your walker if I let you. My favorite sound is hearing those little wheels moving after me as I walk through the house.
You had your very first Christmas this year and it was great! You opened presents like it was your job. You got some great toys but you still prefer to play with things that are regular household items. Your favorites are cell phones, remotes, guitars, spoons, and cups.
Your laugh has become infectious the last month. Almost anything will set you off. You think slurping is especially funny. Noises and singing is still your favorite way to communicate.
You experienced feeling snow for the first time. You didn't care for it. I think that the cold is not your favorite. You did enjoy sledding quite a bit, but after you got cold you had enough!
Reading books and pointing at pictures has really started this month. You always have loved books but the pointing is really come into play. You are able to show me the wheels on trucks. I love how your eyes light up when you know that you have gotten it right. Noise books are still your favorite. You can't get enough of the buttons.
You have started to ride on my shoulders and love the bouncing. This is very painful for me because you tend to pull my hair a lot. You laugh so hard when you ride and bounce on my shoulders, so I don't stop, even though it hurts. I believe this is the start of a lot of things that I will do even though it hurts me. Like disciplining you. I am not looking forward to that, but for now, it is fun to make you laugh.

I love you,
Love Mommy

TAGGED!

I was tagged by Sarah.
The tag was to show your 4th pic in your 4th picture and explain it.Noah at 3 months crying. My sweet boy. He is wearing a newborn shirt because he was so little for so long. He is still on the lower percentages of the growth chart. This picture is funny because he still looks kind of like this when he cries still. I can't believe how much he has grown. I mean compared to the circle next to his head is so much different now.
Oh how I love him.

Christmas, abbreviated....

So there is this thing called facebook, I have been a member for awhile but only recently become obsessed, errr I mean a little preoccupied with it.
That is my only excuse for the very tardy presence of my xmas post.
We had a great holiday.
First, Ben and the girls came and stayed with us for a couple of days and we had a great time crafting and hanging out. Then a whole bunch of snow fell and we had quite an interesting time getting up to mom and dad's on Christmas Eve. My trusty Blueberry got us there safe and sound.
Then Christmas morning was so fun! I don't know there is something so exciting about having a child at Christmas. We were so giddy to see Noah open presents.
We had a great time with Grandma Georgia... She spoiled us all rotten!!!

Then after waiting on pins and needles that Sarah and Aaron's flight wouldn't be canceled again we finally were able to pick them up at the airport.
Boy did we have a fun filled couple of days. Visiting is a lot different when you have children involved. I miss the days when I didn't have to go home to put a child to bed.
Ben and Aaron also were a very big help and cut down our tree in the back yard. We had to get rid of it because it was conflicting with the septic tank.
I have missed all of them very much!
After a sad goodbye, Ben and the girls stayed to ring in the new year with us. We had a great time and we were sad to go back to "real life".
