10 months

Noah,
Double digits! Wow! This is definitely a milestone month. I really have started to see you changing.
Your food intake is slowly becoming more and more. And you still are not turning down any type of food. We are trying to push more liquids because before too long the sippy cup will be your source for drinks.
It has been amazing to watch your face through all of your new firsts. In the last month you have seen your first snowfall. You watched and watched and watched with amazement as more and more snow flakes fell.
I loved spending that time with you.

You are becoming more aware of your surroundings and loooooove music. Every time a song comes on you can't help but rock back and forth and sing along. We sing as a family and this is my favorite time of the day.
This month you tried yogurt for the first time. There is no going back now. It is part of the morning routine, you especially like peach.
You and I have definitely formed a great bond. Your eyes light up when I walk in the room and my heart feels so full when you recognize me and smile. You are the second man in my life to make me feel so appreciated and loved.

I love you sooooo much.
Love, Mommy

Hair!

Noah has had hair issues from the day he was born...
Ear hair....it fell out, in case you were pondering.
Then the dreaded old man hair loss, which was caused by excessive brushing from daddy.
And now he wakes up with crazy hair. This picture does not fully show you the extent of the out of control quaff on his head.

Dear Santa

I think I have ben pretty good this year. I have been blessed beyond imaginable. I had a baby boy who has brought me a lot of joy. But speaking of having a baby, I would love to have a Wii fit for xmas.

You see after having Noah, I need a regime to tone. This would be a great way to do it.
I know you can't always get what you ask but also I, being a tech nerd that I am, would love the new poloroid pogo as well. This is a tiny printer that prints photos instantly. I have had my eye on it for over a year.
This year money is tight, Santa, so these are my ultimate Christmas wishes. I am already so thankful for my family which is the best gift anyone could ask for.
Oh and if you could, my sister in law would like a Wii and a Wii fit too. . . just in case she needed a good word put in for her.
I will leave out cookies. lots of cookies.

Tacos!

Dave and I love food.

With that said one of our all time, hands down, favorites is tacos. I don't know anyone who loves tacos more than us besides maybe this guy, Steve, who used to work with me at my old job. He REALLY loved them.
We love to make them at home and we eat them once a week. Tonight, Noah had is very first taco.

Tortilla, ground turkey, corn, black beans, a little cheese, and avocado.
He loved it.... here's the proof.

That's our boy. Eat up... There will be more, MUCHO more!

Niner

Noah,
Another month filled with joy and amazement. This has been a month of food. We are starting to really love the food and it has been easier to feed you. You are expanding your tastes and loving every minute of it. You tried your very first biter biscuit this month.
This is the result:

followed by a bath.
I think that chunks of food, cherios and fruits have been better for you because of the arrival of your two new buddies. Bottom teeth. You are biting and drooling on everything.

It has been a little chilly lately and you and dad have been weatherizing the house. Yep, you are a big help when it comes to the chores. I think dad really enjoys the advice and ongoing singing you give him while doing the house work.

The purchase of your first suit was for pictures but we decided not to put you into it. So later we tried it on, and you look dapper. You looked like a "little Don" from the Godfather.

Halloween. One of many to come. You were Max from "Where the Wild Things Are". Not many people guessed who you were but you stayed warm. This is a picture of you and your friend Madison. You and Madison have quite the conversations sometimes.

In fact all things that have to do with noise you are excelling at. For months you have enjoyed singing time but tonight, I actually caught a little bit of it on film. I cannot say enough about the singing and talking you do. At church, you sing right along and know exactly when music comes on at home. The company you give me on car rides are the best, I could not ask for a better singing partner. You don't even care if I don't know the words.

We love how you recognize us when we walk into the room, you always greet us with a smile.
Dad and you are especially forming some close bonds, and nothing warms my heart more when I see my two favorite guys having a good time.

I love you,
Love Mommy

Hair, Hair, Everywhere!

So my girlfriends want to see my new haircut so after taking a billion pictures(it seemed like that many) I came up with 2 decent ones that didn't come out making me look like a bad school pic.
I do have to say that when you want to have a good day, go and get your hair cut. I felt so good all day long after I chopped off my hair.

I wasn't going to cut it this short but I wanted to donate it so this is the length it had to go. It also helps with the fact that my hair is falling out from hormones going back to normal so my husband is happy with it not being everywhere. k. Everyone needs to go out and get their hair done!

JUNKIE

For months, I mean months, I have had very little coffee. I LOVE coffee.
My first experience of latte bliss is highly attributed to Seth and Jake at age 13, in Missoula, they took me downtown for a delightful drink that I had never thought about trying. They first are shocked to know that I have never had it "you have to try one, you will love it" I am intrigued but a little scared, after all my parents always told me that this was something that was for adults and there were physical side affects to participating. I knew my dad struggled with the nasty habit and my mom tried all her hippy tinctures and herbal remedies to little avail. So I knew it was a slippery slope. There was no assurance from my "friends" that I could stop at any time, actually the opposite "you have to drink the whole thing, don't waste it, if you don't like it at first, you will surely like it a couple of sips later....etc". I watch the two confidently walk up to the counter and order their drinks and then I hesitate, Seth quickly orders for me. NO BACKING OUT. I receive my drink and I take a sip, both guys staring at me intently, and it was NIRVANA.
Yes, floodgates opened. I LOVE the foam, the smooth texture, the sweet after taste, the warmth as it goes down my throat....
I have never gone back, now years later, I have fond memories of drinking coffee with my dad (my mom could not break him), my brothers ( they all love it too, two words, Coffee people), drinking cups with my girlfriends in a hotel on the coast, drinking it with my sister in law Sarah as we discuss how we should really cut back on sweets, spreading the addiction to my dear husband (who can't go a day without his morning coffee), having it iced, mochaed, or black, I don't discriminate.
Now that it is winter I am enjoying a lot of coffee and Noah has been super hyper lately. I can't go back to just a little caffeine. I am adding him to the band wagon. Does this make me a bad mother or a good one to show him how good it is?
Regardless, here's to you, all my blogging friends, I am air klinking with all of you.

BSU

Uncle Aaron,
Sorry this is a VERY belated birthday post but on your birthday, mom couldn't get it together and forgot to take a pic of me in my very bright outfit. She has views on boys wearing sweatpants out of the house so we had to put it off until today. BUT it was worth it because I loooove my SWEAATS (saying it like Nacho Libre).
So anywho... GO BSU and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Oh and another thing I have 2 teeth that I cut a couple hours ago and I have been hiding them from the camera but mommy tackled me and took a pic so here is the proof.
K. Well hope you had a great birthday. Love ya!
Your bestest nephew, Noah

Cousins, Halloween!

Noah had a busy Halloween. He saw all his grandparents and his cousins that lived in the area. He was all hallowed out by the end of the day. Here are better pics of his outfit.

Happy Halloween!

Noah had his first Halloween party on Saturday and today we are dressing him up again to go to his Grandma Georgia's work and to see daddy. He is Max from "Where The Wild Things Are". And Dave was a monster from the book. You can't really see his tail but I will post better pictures today.

8 Months

Dear Noah,

My little man, another month has flown by and I am writing you another letter. We have had a great month! We had a visit from your aunty April and we have seen Uncle Ben and Kaylee and Alyssa quite a bit. You have been quite the trooper through all the long car rides.

It seems this month has been a true turning point of ultra sweetness. You laugh so much easier and smiles are just coming all day long. You go down for naps without any hesitation, even sometimes falling asleep in your jumper. You are snuggling and giving hugs and kisses.

Food is still a favorite past time. You have now been introduced to Guava, Strawberries, different kinds of squashes and you are loving every bite. You love to drink water out of cups and are actually really good at it. You also are taking liquid vitamins and you love the licoricey taste of them.

The singing has got to be at its all time high this month. You and Daddy, every afternoon have guitar time and you are now singing with full might to the tune of spider man. I have tried to record it but you always catch on when I impede on Daddy time. You watch every move Daddy makes and you even can strum some on your own.
Another new thing you love to do is scream. Not just a gentle yell, but an ear ringing people staring type scream. You especially love to do it when it is really quite in a public place.

You are not quite mobile yet. I am just savoring the days left that I am able to sit you down on the floor and know you will be in about the same spot when I come back. I know it won't be long until you figure out that you can get anywhere in the house.
Yep another month... It seems that I am starting to forget how little you were.

I love you my little guy.
Love, Mommy
