Living Conditions

This is the way Hubba and I are living right now.

Classy, right?

Well, we aren't moving the furniture in the rooms because the varnish has to settle for 7-14 days. We also do not have a bathroom because it currently looks like this.

But at least we have this to fall into at night.

26 weeks, She's a brick house

Wowza!

Is this me? At what time in your life do you wake up and not recognize your body anymore?

I sometimes feel like I am going through puberty again, not knowing what to do with all the weird hormone changes, you don't realize how awkward you are (not fitting through spots that you could before). I don't have anything to complain about. I am happy to have a baby boy in my tummy and he is moving more and more.

New House, Old Issues

Hi!

Hubba and I bought a new house!

It is a wonderful place, but it needs tons of work. We are trying to get everything ready by Next Friday so we can move in. It is becoming a challenge, with me being 24 weeks pregnant and Hubba being tired from working almost every night.

What I miss the MOST

Hi.
It has been awhile since I have posted, my poor neglected blog.

I am slowly but surely growing. I have a pooch and I will be going to the doctor on Monday for my monthly check-in.
I had a wonderful 12 week check in 4 weeks ago, we had an early ultrasound and if blogger wasn't being such a jerk, I would have added it.

I have noticed since being pregnant, that I miss a few things.

1. Having as much coffee as I want, right now it is limited.
2. Eating a hot dog. I don't know, I think it is a rebellion thing.
3. Sleeping on my stomach. I have always slept on my stomach, this side sleeping is not the best time.
4. Going a whole night without having to pee. Oh the bliss of sleeping through the night. I know that I won't see another night like that in awhile, and I mean AWHILE.
5. Not being so moody. My poor wonderful Hubba. He is so great.
6. Eating a peice of candy without GESTATIONAL DIABETES roaring through my head.

There is more but that is all I can do today. I will be better at posting.

The Sisterhood

Ok...

So far so good, going on week 7. I have had tinges of wanting to throw up but not an all out fest with the toilet. Sleep has been a good friend of mine. So really, I have been feeling normal.
Except for the other night.
Hubba was watching Microcosmos (bug documentary, yuck!) So I went into the bedroom to watch the sisterhood of the traveling pants. Normally, yes I can cry at any given movie, oprah special or extreme home makeover. But this was uncontrollable sobbing. You would have thought my favorite dog had died. I could not control the tears. Hubba came into the room and thought I had hurt myself. I don't know what compelled the crying. It was kind of a sad movie. But not sad enough to warrant 45 minutes of bawling.
hmmm... the hormones are slowly taking over my body. I try to defend myself but I am weaker than I thought.
can't.
give.
in.

Dear John

Dear Bathroom,

I see that we are quickly becoming good friends. I come and visit you twice as much as I used to (only 2 weeks ago). But now it seems like I see you every time I turn around. I actually plan things around seeing you. My you have become important in my life. I just ask please return the favor, always be there for me, please don't make me wait, for this could have dire consequences on me, especially in a few months when "waiting" will not be an option. I, in return will promise to continue to see you and plan on not laughing until I have seen you or run to the grocery store, without a consultation. Oh Bathroom, we shall be long standing friends for the better portion of the next year. I hope hubba will share you.

Sincerely yours,
Kimkapyung

Joke!

An atheist was walking through the woods.

"What majestic trees! "What powerful rivers! "What beautiful animals!" he said to himself. As he was walking alongside the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look and saw a 7-foot grizzly charge towards him. He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw the bear closing in on him.

He looked over his shoulder again and the bear was even closer. He tripped and fell, rolled over, and found the bear right on top of him with a paw slashing toward his face.

The atheist cried out, "Oh my God!"
Time Stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.

As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky. "You deny My existence for all these years, teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident.
Do you expect Me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to now count you as a believer?"

The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps you could make the BEAR a Christian?"

"Very well," said the voice.
The light went out.
The sounds of the forest resumed.
And the bear brought his swiping paw down. Then he drew both paws together, bowed his head and said, "Lord, bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord, Amen."

Finished

So, as Promised, finished projects.

Sorry for the bad picture, this is a baby hat with stars on it.... I don't know if I like itYet another baby hat, I made this for a baby shower for a lady at church, she had already had the baby, it barely fit his head. Who knew they grew that fast?!

The oh so cute baby booties... I loved making these!

I tried to modify the pattern above to make these but I don't know if I like them.

This is a yellow sweater, the pattern is the pea pod baby sweater... I am going to make the hat that matches.

The hippy socks I am making for my mom... I am almost done with the second one. She is pretty excited about them, already has an outfit picked out

And lastly...

The yarn I dyed with Koolaid... the one on the right has little bits of yellow...

Ok! That is it for now!

Patterns

Well... All I can think of is knitting baby things lately.

I love this pattern ...

They are adorable!

I also get tons of great patterns from Ravelry it gives you so many great ideas on what to make and even links you to free patterns! I love the Free part.

Here are the links to the booties below. For the knitted booties, it is http://members.home.nl/tdpj/Patronen/Bootees/Saartjes%20bootees.pdf

And for the adorable fabric booties (these are super easy to make and mom and I modified the pattern and made my neices a pair).

http://stardustshoes.blogspot.com/2006/10/cloth-shoe-pattern.html

Let me know if the links do not work, this is my first time linking.

Next post we should have some pics of finished knitted things... Including my mom's "hippy socks" that I am almost finished and the yarn that I hand dyed with koolaid. It is super easy and super fun!

Naps Are For Babies

UMMmMMMM.... Who doesn't like a good nap?

In the last 2-3 days at work I have done well in the morning then it seems like after I eat(12:30) I can hardly keep my eyes open. It is like the last hour and a half is torment to stay at work. I would like to start my child on a schedule....starting now... naps in the morning and afternoon. Man, I wish I could. I wonder if I can draw eyes on my eyelids (pirate of the carribean) so it looks like I am awake. prop myself up. make a typing recording. This could work. I guess it may not fool anyone.

Hubba and I are going to Mom and Dad's tonight and we are going to eat this...

Popeye's Fried Chicken.

This would normally get me so excited and I would be obsessing about it all day, but, lately food hasn't been sounding great to me. I know. Worst thing ever. I LOVE FOOD. So this has come as a surprise.
What's next?! I have no yearning to craft?! I hope not, I will pray for myself.

It was Positive!

Ok!
So Hubba and I are officially pregnant... according to the pee test. I took the test Sunday afternoon. (I am the most impatient person in the world). The test came over and it was at first faint and then bam, a + sign. So we went and bought "What to Expect when you're Expecting".
We are so excited! I can't believe it didn't take longer. I am trying to be as healthy as possible. (which for me is trying to lay off the sugar, I think I am having withdrawals).

Stroke?

I swear, if I am not pregnant, than I am losing my mind.

Example 1:
Last night I could not remember all the words to my Steve Miller tape....that is right, tape ( that is how long/much I LOVE Steve Miller) and anyone who has known me, ridden in the car with me, gone on a road trip with me, knows I know every single word, beat, hum, and grunt off of that tape and I am not afraid to scream them at the top of my lungs. When I came at the loss of words, hubba looked at me with a disturbed look, like I was diagnosed with something horrible, it was a look of empathy like I had just peed my pants in front of an audience. It hurts. I am still in shock.

Example 2:
I forgot my purse in the classroom after teaching class last night. Now this isn't an unusual circumstance but the fact is that I didn't realize it until I was almost to the car and I reach for the car keys. And then I wasn't even sure where I had last seen my purse. My mind blanked... I tried not to show Hubba I was in a panic (especially after the Steve Miller incident)... then I had to admit I didn't know where my purse was. How did I not realize my 5lb purse was not with me?! I take it everywhere and carry everything in it!

Example 3:
Today I am sitting at my desk and I had toast at 5:30am then I had cherries at 10 and at 11am my stomach starts being super angry at me. Like feed me or I will show you whats up, and not in a friendly manner. I ate a granola bar and everything was fine in 15 minutes... I am never hungry until 12 especially if I have eaten breakfast.

Example 4:
I was yawning all through my meetings today... I never do that. (this could be tiredness from staying up and watching, Last Comic Standing)

And so I give you(you, as in me, because the blog isn't opened to anybody else yet, until I know I am for sure with child) the debate. Am I going through some weird disease, or do I have a reason for the demonic overturn of my body function?

3 WEEKS?

OK... So if I was pregnant, I would be 3 weeks along...

There has been some peculiar things going on with my body, I don't know if it is self induced or if I am actually having symptoms.

1. I am burping all the time... I am not much of a burper unless I have had a carbonated drink.

2. I am peeing more often, this could be that I have been drinking more water because I have been completely clean and sober of coffee and mostly soda for about 2 months now.

3. I have some cramping in my abdomen... I don't know if this is normal or if it is a bad sign.

So self - induced or not. I will have to wait and find out if I am actually pregnant or just a crazy hypochondriac.

(probably the latter)
I made some cute booties yesterday, I haven't made a decision on who I will give them to.

I don't have a picture of them but they look a lot like this...

Aren't they adorable. I made them in blue yarn and white buttons. They didn't take long so I will be making more, lots more.
Oh and I also made tons of these booties over the weekend. (again, not actual picture, just picture from the pattern)

Baby Bonanza!

Yikes! There are so many babies due and conceived this year! I can't believe the amount of gifts I am going to pump out in the next year! So exciting!
I love the little ones so it should be fun! I am predicting it is a year for girls to be born.
We will see how the predictions roll, we already know of 2 for sure girls, so we are already on a roll.

Glimmer

So we are going to start trying to make a baby. We weren't originally going to start trying until the fall. Then I went and visited Boise for my annual Easter trip. And the baby bug bit me, Hard. The difinitive moment was when I felt April's baby kick her and I looked at her and the excitement and joy I saw in her eyes, got me hooked. Not hooked as a " i have a crush on April" kind of hooked, but a "I want that feeling and am ready for that feeling" hooked.
So I promptly went home and told Hubba about the experience, he wasn't shocked, he knew this day would come.... and the decision was made to start.
So the baby is just a glimmer but hopefully it will be a reality in a short amount of time.
