My brothers could have made a fortune

Being the youngest and the only girl has some disadvantages. One of them being pretty gullable and wanting to impress my older brothers. Oh how they loved me dearly.
We would play outside... I would get to eat things unimaginable.
We would play inside... I would get to eat things unimaginable.
So no surprise when my mom and dad would leave them to "babysit" me, things would happen. Ben would brake an arm.
I would have uncontrollable nosebleeds... you know the usual.
But There were many times that I would spend quality time with them hanging on the doorknob until my parents came home.

Today I saw this on the internet.

The BabyKeeper.

Boys, you were ahead of your time.

Mom Poem

Before I was a Mom…
I made and ate hot meals.
I had unstained clothing.
I had quiet conversations on the phone.

Before I was a Mom…
I slept as late as I wanted.
I brushed my hair and my teeth every day.

Before I was a Mom…
I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was Mom…
I had never been puked on, pooped on, spat on, chewed on, peed on,
or pinched by tiny fingers.

Before I was a Mom…
I had complete control of my mind, thoughts, my body, and my time.

Before I was a Mom…
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom…
I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child.

Before I was a Mom…
I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom…
I had never risen in the middle of the night, every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

Before I was a Mom…
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment,or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom!

Work Shmurk

After a lovely holiday weekend I am here at work at the butt crack of dawn.

I miss my baby.

It is lame that we need money to have food and shelter.

Why can't we live off of grass clippings?
I have tons of those.

3 Months!

Dear Noah,
Today you are three months old. I can hardly believe it! You have turned from being my little snuggly boy to being my wiggly worm. Oh where to start?!
Hmmm... well, you have started to smile like crazy and do this kind of yelp like laugh when we play peek a boo. It melts my heart.

You also have become more independant. You like being left alone with some toys to watch and you have vivid conversations with them.

And you love singing old macdonald with mommy. We recorded it. It is a bad picture but the main thing is you love the song.

You are actually starting to grow out of your 0-3 month outfits and getting quite large rolls on your legs and arms. The rolls on your arms look like "muscles".

You love to play airplane with daddy, he flys you through the house and you stay so calm moving you head left and right to look around. The bouncing on his knee is also a favorite of yours.

Sleeping has been awwwwwwwwwwwesome! You are sleeping at least 10-11 hours at night. when you take your naps during the day you like to bring the covers over your head. Silly boy.

Tummy time has been going great you are loving the world at a different view.

We have taken it easy quite a bit through this month because I knew I was going back to work.

Speaking of work yesterday was my first day back. I was quite emotional over leaving you with Nanny but you have been great. I think of you when I am at work (especially since I have to bond with a machine, giving it milk)

Yup lots have changed but I still love you more than ever.

Love, Mommy

Hot in my Hot pants

It has been abnormally warm here and Noah is not a fan of the heat.
His pants are not hot because he hasn't been wearing any.

Daddy isn't a fan of the heat either.

We have been trying to stay cool in our unairconditioned (I don't think this is a word) house.

Uncle Jesse, where were you?

Dave has been friends with Jesse FOREVER, I think he says ever since Jesse got hit by a bus at school.

Last night Noah met Jesse's parents.
We had a great time eating pizza and visiting.
Amber especially loved Noah, she couldn't stop licking Noah's feet.

We missed the company of Jesse and Audrey but hopefully it won't be too long until Noah can meet them.

Who is sleeping?

I am!

I would like to accept this award and thank Baby wise, my girlfriends who told me this would happen and to be patient, to my husband - although he has slept through many nights already, and to Noah.

Yeah for sleeping 10 hours at night. Good boy Noah!

Night, Night, Noah

This is how Noah goes to sleep at night.
He loves books and Daddy loves to read to him.

A Hat For Madison

Oh Madison, Here is a hat that I made for you, since you started to lose some of your hair. But you still are so adorable and it will grow back!

New Blog

Ok, so I started a new blog for my mom and dad. They wanted to become more computer savvy and this is one way to help them become technically unchallenged. I think they will catch on quick and love it. http://tograndparentshouse.blogspot.com/

oh and a pic of Noah and his second cousin Caleb. Caleb is 3 months older than Noah and was 11 lbs! Thank goodness for C-sections, because his mommy has a small frame.
