Happy Birthday!

Dear Husband,
Today is your birthday. I am so glad you were born! You have been such a blessing in my life.

You bring joy and consistancy to my life. I couldn't ask for anything more in a husband.

So on your day of birth, you deserve to be treated like royalty because that is how you make me feel daily.
Love, Wife

Dear Daddy,
I hope you have a happy birthday. I know it has been all about me lately, and probably will be for years to come. I will try not to give you an extremely messy diaper today. Hey, that is all I can promise.

Love, Noah

Fair

Fair Pictures!

We rode on the bus to get there. Cheaper than paying for parking.

Dave rode on the teacups, he barely fit into the ride with the girls.

The pig babies! Aren't they adorable?

The girls on the car ride. Kaylee thought she was too old for it.

The lollipop swing.

The Ferris wheel. Dave was terrified, he hates heights!

The large swing ride. I was not excited to ride this but the girls begged me to go with them. It was like one horrible swing that went up and down, I didn't trust the carnies to land me in one piece.

And the end of the fair. Noah was tuckered out in his new John Deere hat.

New blog

The Project Stay At Home blog is open. I am still working on getting it to where I want, but at least I won't be posting a mish mash of stuff on my regular blog. Click HERE to go there. k.

Rolling Over

Noah has been rolling over for awhile, but this is the first time we caught it on tape.

Slang Tuesday

Being a ChaCha guide has really opened my eyes on different slang terms. A lot of kids text in with questions and sometimes I have to look up the term before answering. So the quicklinks that ChaCha gives us has a slang word dictionary. Today's word?

Shuffle Shame
"Shuffle shame" is when your mp3 music player is playing on speakers in shuffle mode, and somebody enters the room at the exact moment the worst song of your collection is being played.
Example: I felt shuffle shame when Tony came to the office today, my iPod was playing Paris Hilton's single as he came in.

Have you experienced Shuffle Shame?
I have. Who doesn't have the Spice Girls and Neil Diamond on their ipod? C'mon!

Monday, Monday!

I am writing a post because I don't like going to my blog and seeing the laid off line every time. We had a great weekend at the fair and I will post pics tonight when I get them all downloaded. Is it wrong that I LOVE being home? I couldn't be happier. I am going to start logging the projects and savings that I am going to make on another blog. I am creating it now so it isn't ready. I will let you know. I know, I know, 2 blogs?! I just didn't want this blog to have coupons and stuff on it. I want it to be more update on the family. We will see how well I keep it up. For now, there are some great deals going on if you got the Sunday paper. There are so many coupons in it!!!

JOB

Soooooooooo...
The bad news is that I was laid off yesterday. Me and 10 other people, there are only 4 people that were kept. I had anticipated that this may happen since I decided to go back to work at a part time status instead of full time and while I was on maternity leave my boss had lost our contract. I was blamed for it because I had gone on maternity leave. Nice. Right?

I was given a severance and am eligible for unemployment, but it has been a little rough. I have never been let go of a job, I have never been not chosen for anything. After crying, ALOT, I have decided that this is not really anything bad because I had started hating going to work and dealing with all the shenanagins of my boss and coworkers. I missed being with Noah sooooo much and didn't want to miss out on milestones. I hated pumping and worrying if I had enough milk for him.

So the good news is I have new possibilities. I already have been working as a ChaCha guide to make a little extra money and I have a little bit of time to look for something new and I will be able to spend time with Noah in the mean time. My house will be clean for once and my husband will get the baked goods he has been craving. I love staying home, and maybe I will be able to find a way for me to stay home permanantly. So pray that I will and don't feel sorry for me and if you do my husband says you only get 3 business days of mourning and then you start moving on from losing your job. (He said he would give me longer, but I assured him I wouldn't need any more time as long as I had him and Noah's love.)

I worked dang hard for that company.
