I have an annoucement

Ahem.....

I officially can fit into my favorite prepregnancy pants.
After week after week of stuffing (literally) myself into these pants I put them on today and they fit!
I would like to thank my husband who, after many weeks of saying," you look fine, you just had a baby don't worry about the pants.... are we going to be late? " He has been very supportive.

Now to get rid of stretch marks, my double chin and the constant scent of puke masked with fragrance.

6 Month Letter

Dear Noah,
1/2 year! Happy half birthday! I cannot believe that the time has flown by this fast. Dad and I took you on a walk today and you were taking every little thing in. That is what we try to do every day with you, we don't want to miss one thing because it seems that in a blink of an eye you are doing something new.

You roll over daily now, but only do it when it is convenient for you. You have no real aspirations of rolling across the floor or trying to crawl. Happiness is just holding onto your feet. Oh the fun you and feet have just holding onto them and pulling and yanking at them. Grasping at almost everything is your new hobby, my hair, my ears, my necklace, daddy's nose, your ears, your nose, and any objects within arm's reach.
The first six months have been a roller coaster for our family. It seems that we have had some trials but I would not change one decision because every choice your dad and I have made has been for our family. I got laid off from my job but couldn't be happier to be able to have some more time to be able to spend with you. You have become quite a deal breaker on a lot of roads we decide to drive down. We love you for giving us the smiles whenever we are struggling with life.
You are starting to grow out of the bathtub, but you are not quite big enough for the real tub so we are still stuffing you in the smaller one. You still love the water and can't get enough of the splashes.
There are some personality traits coming out. You seem to be pretty laid back. All the girl babies at church love to squeal at you and you love to either just stare at them or burst out in tears when you come in contact. You also seem to have a bit of a tantrum thrower, we will watch this as you get older. But the first time I saw you arch your back and full on swing your arms and legs, it terrified me because the thought of you disobeying is scary to me.

Daddy and you are truly having some fun times. You love to play together and talk and read. There is a bond there that I love to watch. You guys seem to understand each other on another level. For instance, I will do some quite hillarious antics and I will be cracking up and you and daddy will just look at me like I am insane, no smile even on the horizon. And then when I start to feel a little embarressed, both of you will smile at me(probably just a sympathy smile, but I will take it!). It does however make me a little jealous that you are saying dadadadadada over and over again. ummm... ever heard of mamamamamamama?!!! You know the lady that feeds you from her chest? Lets work on that, ok?!
I do truly believe there is something so different about a mother's love and it is such a gift to be able to experience it. The pride that I feel about our family is unreal. I am savoring each day I am with you because I realize that I will have to go back to work, but for now I can't get enough of Noah time. We cuddle together, cry together, and laugh together. This motherhood thing has become quite the addiction.
Love, Mommy

Bats In The Cave

-visible clumps of nose goblins, often found clinging to nasal hair.

"you need to blow your nose, you got some serious bats in the cave!!"

Noah tends to have quite of few bats, but not much hair in the cave.

Kiwanis

JJ - My oldest Bro. goes to Kiwanis camp. He starts talking about it right after Christmas and doesn't stop talking about it until he goes in August. This camp is centered around disabled people. It is costly to go but worth every penny. It not only enables him to interact with peers but also camp, what JJ does best. Yup a week of hiking, interacting, yelling and losing his voice.
Thursday night of the camp is their talent show and Dave and I try to make a point of going. It is great.
They have a huge staff (probably 1 person per camper or for every 2 campers)
Smoky the bear came out

And so did Miss Oregon

JJ did his thing at the mike, as usual.

Noah had a good time watching all the skits.

The best and most moving part of the night is their closing song.

Glad you had a good time, J.
