JUNKIE

For months, I mean months, I have had very little coffee. I LOVE coffee.
My first experience of latte bliss is highly attributed to Seth and Jake at age 13, in Missoula, they took me downtown for a delightful drink that I had never thought about trying. They first are shocked to know that I have never had it "you have to try one, you will love it" I am intrigued but a little scared, after all my parents always told me that this was something that was for adults and there were physical side affects to participating. I knew my dad struggled with the nasty habit and my mom tried all her hippy tinctures and herbal remedies to little avail. So I knew it was a slippery slope. There was no assurance from my "friends" that I could stop at any time, actually the opposite "you have to drink the whole thing, don't waste it, if you don't like it at first, you will surely like it a couple of sips later....etc". I watch the two confidently walk up to the counter and order their drinks and then I hesitate, Seth quickly orders for me. NO BACKING OUT. I receive my drink and I take a sip, both guys staring at me intently, and it was NIRVANA.
Yes, floodgates opened. I LOVE the foam, the smooth texture, the sweet after taste, the warmth as it goes down my throat....
I have never gone back, now years later, I have fond memories of drinking coffee with my dad (my mom could not break him), my brothers ( they all love it too, two words, Coffee people), drinking cups with my girlfriends in a hotel on the coast, drinking it with my sister in law Sarah as we discuss how we should really cut back on sweets, spreading the addiction to my dear husband (who can't go a day without his morning coffee), having it iced, mochaed, or black, I don't discriminate.
Now that it is winter I am enjoying a lot of coffee and Noah has been super hyper lately. I can't go back to just a little caffeine. I am adding him to the band wagon. Does this make me a bad mother or a good one to show him how good it is?
Regardless, here's to you, all my blogging friends, I am air klinking with all of you.

BSU

Uncle Aaron,
Sorry this is a VERY belated birthday post but on your birthday, mom couldn't get it together and forgot to take a pic of me in my very bright outfit. She has views on boys wearing sweatpants out of the house so we had to put it off until today. BUT it was worth it because I loooove my SWEAATS (saying it like Nacho Libre).
So anywho... GO BSU and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Oh and another thing I have 2 teeth that I cut a couple hours ago and I have been hiding them from the camera but mommy tackled me and took a pic so here is the proof.
K. Well hope you had a great birthday. Love ya!

Cousins, Halloween!

Noah had a busy Halloween. He saw all his grandparents and his cousins that lived in the area. He was all hallowed out by the end of the day. Here are better pics of his outfit.

Happy Halloween!

Noah had his first Halloween party on Saturday and today we are dressing him up again to go to his Grandma Georgia's work and to see daddy. He is Max from "Where The Wild Things Are". And Dave was a monster from the book. You can't really see his tail but I will post better pictures today.

8 Months

Dear Noah,

My little man, another month has flown by and I am writing you another letter. We have had a great month! We had a visit from your aunty April and we have seen Uncle Ben and Kaylee and Alyssa quite a bit. You have been quite the trooper through all the long car rides.

It seems this month has been a true turning point of ultra sweetness. You laugh so much easier and smiles are just coming all day long. You go down for naps without any hesitation, even sometimes falling asleep in your jumper. You are snuggling and giving hugs and kisses.

Food is still a favorite past time. You have now been introduced to Guava, Strawberries, different kinds of squashes and you are loving every bite. You love to drink water out of cups and are actually really good at it. You also are taking liquid vitamins and you love the licoricey taste of them.

The singing has got to be at its all time high this month. You and Daddy, every afternoon have guitar time and you are now singing with full might to the tune of spider man. I have tried to record it but you always catch on when I impede on Daddy time. You watch every move Daddy makes and you even can strum some on your own.
Another new thing you love to do is scream. Not just a gentle yell, but an ear ringing people staring type scream. You especially love to do it when it is really quite in a public place.

You are not quite mobile yet. I am just savoring the days left that I am able to sit you down on the floor and know you will be in about the same spot when I come back. I know it won't be long until you figure out that you can get anywhere in the house.
Yep another month... It seems that I am starting to forget how little you were.

I love you my little guy.
Love, Mommy

Chuck Norris

Ok, so the ChaChaing was hilarious this morning as so many people wanted Chuck Norris jokes. I couldn't stop laughing. Here are some of my favorites.

-Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
-Q: What’s 30 times Chuck Norris?
A: Oblivion.

-When Chuck Norris crosses the street, the cars have to look both ways.
-Chuck Norris' calendar goes straight from March 31st to April 2nd. No one fools Chuck Norris.

Aunty April

Came to see us,
We didn't have much time to talk,
We said to Ikea or bust,
and there we had quite the walk,
the time was fun and I did not fuss.
Please come again
Because I am growing to be bigger than a walrus
