7 Month Letter

Noah,
Right now, both of us are sitting on the couch together and you are talking to your mechanical piano, now you are trying to lick the lights. This has been a really fun month. You are really starting to show some personality.
Like in this photo. Just kidding. You do have a very good serious face that you put on. It is especially funny when people try and make you smile and you just look at them with that face, stone cold. You are also smiling more... a lot more.
We have been spending a lot of time with Nanny lately, as great grandpa and grandma are not doing as well health wise. We like to try and keep great grandpa occupied and you would not believe how much he loves you. He will sing to you and talk to you all day. He also thinks you look like him. (I think his eyesight is not so good these days).
You are sitting up on your own and interacting with toys a lot. At your appointment this month you weighed in at 15 lbs 2 oz! You are tall and skinny, most of your pants are too big for your waist. You are not moving a whole lot yet, just a couple feet at a time when you really want something. I am ok with this, as I know that I will be running after you before long.
This last month your cousins Kaylee and Alyssa came and stayed the weekend. We had a lot of fun playing the Wii and going to the park and doing a little crafting. The girls loved watching you play on the floor, we had a great time!
Along with your happy smiles and loads of giggles, you are also starting a little game of mom vs Noah. In this case, I just want you to know I am trying to win every match. With the arching of the back and cries it has been hard to control you. I can see in the future and don't see you being a submissive baby. This isn't to say you are doing this all the time, but you are definitely forming your own opinions.
You love magazines, grabbing at them with all of your might to destruction. Have you been hanging out with Vera?
The swing at Nanny and Grandpa's has been a hit. You love the feeling of flying and you hold onto the yellow rope for dear life.
Daddy has been playing the guitar to you and expanding your horizons on music. You are intrigued by the playing. Sitting very still and watching Dad's hands move, he even lets you touch the strings to make some of your own music. I think one of your fave's is my favorite too... Daddy's rendition of Spiderman.
Eating. . . We know you are truly part of the family. There hasn't been a food that we have introduced to you that you have turned down. The funniest part is you will not take your rice cereal with water, it has to have breast milk in it. I have tried to sneak many different times, and every time you know and will refuse to eat it. So that is one that you have turned down. So far this is what you have eaten: Sweet Potatoes, Peas, Green beans, Pears, Apples, Squash, Carrots, and avocado. Oh and some prunes because of some poop issues we had. You can't get enough of the avocado, carrots and pears. I love feeding you food, you are always so excited for meal time.
This month has flown by. You are becoming quite the little man. You are giving me the sloppiest and most loveable kisses. I love every single one of them. The doctor talked to us this month at your check up about seperation anxiety, I am thinking I may get it worse than you. We are becoming quite a trio, You, me and Daddy.
I love you,
Love, Mommy

He is going to be great at poker! Maybe he can win all the kids' lunch money and that could help you stay home. Pretty far stretch I know...
