Celebration

We went to Nanny and Papa's house for Nanny's birthday celebration. We had a good time.

26

26 Today. I had a personal goal that I would have a baby at 25. check. My other personal goals: have all baby's by age 33. We will see how well this goal goes.
Birthdays will never be the same now. I have had a great birthday and I actually haven't received any physical unwrap gifts, but I am perfectly happy because I get to spend the day with my 2 boys. I don't think my birthday will be as important to me anymore.

Nanny's Day

Happy Birthday Nanny!

I hope that your day is filled with joy and delight (which means that I may come and visit you as your birthday present). I know we have many more years of delightful birthday wishes and that you will fill me with tons of singing, plant stories and organic foods. So this day is for you nanny, but I won't be offended if you wanted to buy me a present on your birthday. :)

By the way. Mom made me wear this rediculous hat, not that I am opposed to making sacrafices for your birthday, but seriously?! How much more humiliating things is she going to put me through?

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I know you have to go to work and everything and make monies so that I can have a place to live and clean diapers to soil. But seriously, you leave me with mommy?! She doesn't do things the same. She makes up words to songs because she can't remember the lines (you always know the right words). She sings them way too loud and I swear she is tone deaf, I hope I get my musical abilities from you. She doesn't think it is funny when I start peeing when she takes my diaper off, you always give a heavy laugh and a "you got me on that one, son". She puts me down to do things like, put away the laundry and wash the dishes. You always held me no matter what. So dad, I know that you have to work and all, but can you teach mommy to be more like you? She is so going to cramp what we have going.

MOTHERHOOD-WEEK 1- WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

I guess no matter how many books you read, you never truly know the interesting details of motherhood.

My first week what I have learned:

  • The first 4 days it was easy to wake up in the middle of the night, it was a joy, but now who are we kidding, I feed Noah with one eye open.

  • I had been praying for my milk to come in. On the third day it came and I have never experienced anything that hard on my body. It is the strongest muscle I have.

  • I have no control of my fluids. Mostly my milk, it has been commen for me to look down and my shirt is soaked. I will carry an extra shirt at all times.

  • No matter what my hormones are making me feel (sometimes uncontrollable tears) I look at my beautiful son and everything seems right with the world.

  • I have the best husband! He changes diapers like a champ and is so in love with being a father. He has been such a great support.

  • Three words- super maxi pads- yikes!

  • My belly is like a bowl full of jelly, look out Santa, you have a contender. I have also never seen something change so drastically in a matter of a week, I could be a science project.

  • Noah's umbilical cord fell off. Hubba asked if we should keep it. Gross. Do you keep those things for the scrap book? We threw it away. Sorry Noah, if you want to know what it was like, it was black and hard, kind of looked like an animal dropping.

To end the post another picture of Noah. 1 week. I can't believe it.
